It was written by Brown, with Jean Baptiste, Marco Benassi and Allessandro Benassi, with the latter two also handling its production. The song was released as the third single from Brown's fourth studio album F.A.M.E. on March 11, 2011. It was later included on Benassi's fifth studio album Electroman (2011).
